Our Story
Hi, I’m Laura, founder and visual designer at Mindful Wall Art. I was born and raised in Uruguay, and now I live in Barcelona. I’ve always been drawn to images, how they hold space, how they shift the energy of a room, how they quietly influence the way we feel every day.
Not long ago, I was working as a photographer under constant pressure. Deadlines, demands, images that looked great but lacked purpose. I burned out. I lost my connection to the work, and to myself.
What brought me back was something simple: creating images from instinct, with no goal except impulse. No audience, no approval, just the process of translating visions into visuals. That’s when I rediscovered what I loved about images in the first place.
From there, I began working with clients to turn their emotions and ideas into visual pieces with meaning and presence. Giving that service, helping someone see their inner world reflected on a wall, became a passion, whether it was an impactful portrait or a special view in the city.
My background is a mix. I’ve worked in fashion photography, music marketing, and digital marketing across different sectors, which I now approach with a strong focus on ethical practices and emotional health. Lately, I’ve been working with AI-generated visuals, not to move faster, but to expand creativity, to explore how technology can open up new ways to communicate meaning.
I’m also a watercolor artist. Painting keeps me grounded and somehow brings all my motivations together. I paint the way I build things: slowly, methodically, piece by piece, letting essential colors reveal a whole. That’s also how I see life: as something we shape gradually, piece by piece, decision by decision, mindfully.

ethics & sustainability
At Mindful Wall Art, we believe beauty is more than visual. It’s also about how things are made, shared, and experienced. That’s why we approach everything, from product design to marketing, with intention, transparency, and care.
Sustainable Products & Production
Our artworks are printed on demand, using certified, high-quality materials. Posters are made with thick matte paper sourced from Japan and printed with GREENGUARD Gold-certified inks, ensuring a low-impact and long-lasting product.
We produce and ship from certified workshops strategically located around the world, including Spain, the UK, Latvia and the US. Our orders are fulfilled within the same region they’re placed, minimizing transportation distances, emissions, and costs.
Packaging is carefully selected to reduce waste. Our posters are shipped in triangular cardboard boxes to eliminate plastic caps. While some protective materials are still needed, we continue to test more sustainable alternatives with our partners.
Some countries also have the option to offset the carbon footprint of their orders during checkout. These contributions go directly to global carbon reduction initiatives.
We invest in our communities through non-formal education in tech, just as our suppliers do in their own communities through creative technology programs. We only work with partners that uphold fair labor practices and meet the legal standards against slavery and human trafficking.
Responsible Marketing Practices
We practice ethical marketing. That means no manipulation, no noise, no pressure.
- We clearly disclose our images are AI-assisted and digitally post-produced, including mockups generated to display products in interior settings.
- Our pricing is transparent. What you see is what you pay. All costs and taxes are clearly visible before you complete your order.
- We do not run discounts by season. We believe our prices reflect the true value of each piece. That said, we love gifting our customers when it feels meaningful.
- Our visual content, including promotional, is made to offer calm, not disruption. We prioritize visual rest and meaningful messaging over attention-grabbing tricks.
- All our automated tools are human-supervised. We don’t blame AI or plugins for poor communication. If something goes wrong, we take responsibility and work to make it right.
Inclusion & Creative Access
Mindful Wall Art is powered by Laura Abad Studio, which offers creative process workshops with AI for artists and non-artists alike. Through this program, we reserve discounted and free seats for women over 50, in an effort to open up access to digital tools and creative self-expression across generations.
